Breast cancer has probably touched all of our lives in some way or another, unfortunately. I know that many of you have done posts on this subject but , as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month here in the U.K. , this is my contribution in pictures ..........
What a lovely post! Especially your quote from Mrs. Hepburn. I adore her!
ReplyDeleteSmiles!
Michelle

XO's
I believe in Pink as well. And I think it because my childhood home was pink! Everyone laughed at my mother but with its terracotta tiled roof, and big windows and pale blush pink exterior it was really quite magical. I asked for a mammogram and was told NO I am too young! Silly isn't it.
ReplyDeleteLovely post Jacqueline for a great cause
ReplyDeleteA good reminder for all women to be aware and have regular examinations. Also a lovely bit of pinkness to brighten our day and weekend. Ms Hepburn's quote is delightful as is all of your gorgeous images.
Have a great weekend. xx Julie
beautiful post :)
ReplyDeleteWell done Jacqueline! As well as supporting such a good cause, I feel in a way that you've given me me licence to like pink.

Absolutely beautiful Jackie.....really stunning images....the best "pinks" I have seen....and it's always so good to remind people of Breast Cancer Awareness....all the magazines are doing something for it this month it seems.....hopefully the great support it gets means we are one step nearer every day to finding a cure.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes.....Venice always make me think of you now....not my husband.....YOU.....cos I know you love it.....I won't tell him that though!!
Love that image of London....fab isn't it....I had some great years working in the City, it was my first real job....those were the days!!!
Have a great week-end :) xoxo
Wow ~ this group of "pink" is incredible! I absolutely love them. It is Breast Cancer awareness month here also and I think you can never hear enough about it or be reminded too often. Thank you for the eye candy on this ~ my Friday morning. Have a glorious week-end Jackie.

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful pictures and love the message in this post.
Love the balloons... Great weekend to you J.

Another lovely post and a beautiful tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer runs in out family. I have learned alot about it when my Aunt I was very close to died from it. I am more afraid of this type of cancer as it is more aggressive and the only one that can mastisize in other parts of your body. She beat cancer once and it came back in her brain. The one part of her body that she prized most.
ReplyDeletePS: I love the comments you leave; they're like chatty letters.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to start the weekend, pink and rosé.
ReplyDeleteLovely post for a wonderful cause.
much love

ReplyDeleteJackie - I just re-read my comment & it sounded a bit strange. I meant, "A lovely tribute to the fight against a horrible disease". Man, I'm getting old.

ReplyDeleteJackie,
ReplyDeleteSO wonderful of you to bring up this subject and do it in a way that still lets us smile. It is a manageable disease if caught early and we should not be afraid to get examined.

More reason to say thank you!
