Am off to stay with my sister for a couple of weeks in Horsham, Sussex. Every summer, our husbands go off in ....................
the Morgan to Le Mans but, this year they are off, driving in Spain. Meanwhile, my sister and I eat and drink our way through all of the lovely restaurants in the surrounding area and polish off quite a few bottles of my sister's cellar !!!! haha. Well, considering our husband's will be enjoying the delights of Spain and what it has to offer, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it ?!!
........... I probably won't be commenting on your posts for a few days but will make up for it on my return.
Also, many, many, thanks to my blogging friend Simone of The Bottom of the Ironing Basket.
I won her fantastic giveaway of a pot of Dr. Perricone's Cold Plasma which is worth a pretty penny and much needed on my face !!!! I am looking forward to at least 10 years being taken off of my age and many offers of modelling assignments so, thank you SO much Simone. I have been reading Simone's blog ever since I began blogging two years ago ( note to self ..... have some sort of giveaway myself to celebrate my 2nd blogging anniversary !!) Simone lives fairly near me and loves London as much as I do. Her blog is one of the most beautiful in Blogland and you must go over and see for yourselves. She is kind, open and generous and her blog is a joy to visit.
See you all when I return and, please don't forget me !!
first two images by me and last image from Dr. Perricone website.
It would be very rude not to partake in your sister's cellar, and I'm sure it is the least your brother in law will be expecting! Sounds like a fun time - you'll come back rested, relaxed and super youthful thanks to your giveaway win. (What a fab treat to win!) Have fun jackie. Amanda xx

ReplyDeleteHello Jacqueline:
ReplyDeleteWe are certain that your days will be filled with joy and laughter, whatever the Sussex weather may throw at you!
We are sure that you know about it, but should you have time, we would suggest that you visit the major exhibition of Duncan Grant's work which is on at the moment in the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. A friend of ours has been and says that it is wonderful and we shall catch up with it on our next visit to the UK. And, one can get a very good light lunch there too!!
Happy Days!!
I think you guys have waaaaay too much fun!
ReplyDeleteWish I could join you.
Sending love...
Jacqueline

Will be curious to hear about Dr. Perricone's magic in a jar.

Wow - a little vacay with Sister, some cafe hopping, probably some great shopping and junking, a few bottles and lots of laughs...sounds perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteConsider a few shots of tequila now and again.
Cheers -
Marsha
I hope that you have a fabulous time, Jackie! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for you sweet comment. You see the grown up me is fine but my inner seven yrs old isn´t:( And she needed your comment more than anything. Because the memory of that specific moment still makes me very very small. It mattered that I wrote openly about it. Isn´t it funny how we carry with us moments like that and all we need is someone who can give us the words to let us free, to let go. Warm warm warm kisses and hugs!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time together.....and no i will never forget you....love you....xxx...
ReplyDeleteForget you??? Never!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous time!

Happy happy days with your Sister! It sounds just perfect. Look forward to reading about your adventures!
ReplyDeleteYou two girls tip a bottle or two back for this old gal too, will you Jackie? I can't believe it's that time of year again. I remember as though it was yesterday when the boys left for Spain and you sisters were up to all sorts of fun. I'm sending party vibes to you both all the way from Houston.
ReplyDeleteCheers my dear and bottoms-up!! xo xo
Enjoy the time with your sister! Chat, laugh, bottles and restaurants...what do you want more?
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Mara
Enjoy your holiday! Sounds like alot of fun! I need more cute and cuddly baby pics when you get back though. Having serious withdrawals! I may not recognize you when you return if you are 10 years younger looking. That would make you look what? 35? I hope you do get a modeling assignment in the states though. We can meet up then, if you are not tooooo busy!
ReplyDeletePop that dress from All Saints on and enjoy yourself my dear!
ReplyDeleteYou and your sister raise the roof, Jacqueline (as well as frequently visiting the cellar). You owe it to the spirit of the departed Morgan.
