What a subject for our 'By Invitaion' post this month and what is a dream day ? ........ my dream day could be so many things but, I'm easily pleased and at this time of year ..........
.......... after a little bit of this , we could jump in the .....
..... open top Morgan .....
..... in search of some Springtime English countryside.
Thatched cottages .....
..... open countryside .....
Cotswold stone .....
Long walks, passing pretty houses and cottages ....
Taking some time to commune with nature ....
Back in the car .....
..... to the pub .....
..... for some of this .....
..... then, a little window shopping .....
..... after which, it is time to head for home .....
..... and so to bed , tired, happy and ready to dream up another perfect day.

ReplyDeleteHi Jackie,
ReplyDeleteThis is how I spend my time when on holiday, and so it sounds absolutely perfect to me. I knew you would get all the details just right, including the car, the Cotswolds, the food and the feathery bed. A truly delightful post!

"Lie down i think i love you" is so wonderful that I can't go on. I will just sit here and gaze at it. I used to live in your dream, within that Cotswold stone, but on a less sunny day.

ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I could join you in this Dream Day of yours. Those windows have captured my heart, and like someone else that "lie down I think I love you" is fabulous !! Each of you members of By Invitation Only bring something very special, and very different to our monthly posts. This is the reason I did this, this is the reason I love each of you so much.

Hello Jackie:
ReplyDeleteYou are the envy of us and we are sure many, many others for this dream day can so easily be a reality for you. The car, the Cotswolds, the countryside, the country pub.....yes, at the touch of a pedal you can be whisked there as we know you have on so many occasions. And, how lovely it is to think that those things that can make up our everyday lives can also be our 'Dream Days'. Seize the day and the dream can be a reality, how we love that thought!
Wishing you many, many, many more dream days........once the rain stops!!!!
Jac's you know I'd love to be in the seat next to you on this fab day out! Just adore the photo's....one day :)

What a lovely tour - thanks!
ReplyDeleteCoffee, sweets and a drive in the country. I'm in!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day - filled with not much but taking in the surroundings. Also I am a sucker for English spring time. Can we believe it's a year since Will and Kate wed?? Thank you for your lovely comment about the apothecary. I bought a copy of 'Practical Magic' on ebay just to look at the shop you referred to!! I agree - it is totally THE look. I will model myself on Sandra Bullock (although I am not a witch!!) L x
ReplyDeleteWindow shopping and the real thing would be great! I think a jaunt across the Channel could be good....
ReplyDeleteA lovely post Jacky...a fabulous dream day planned...I'd go anywhere in that open top Morgan...perfect bliss ;-)

Dear Jackie, thank you for the lovely comments you leave me. They make me so happy!! I hope you had a great week in England. Is it still as warm and nice? I looked at the prospects that it was expected colder days, and even maybe a little snow. Really hope not!
ReplyDeleteYour dream day is probably not too far away from mine, the English countryside is a desirable holiday destination. Love those cottages. So charming. I just have not come so far yet. But a warmer country with a tempting coastline or lake had not been so bad either :)
Wish you a nice weekend, enjoy something delicious to eat and keep warm.
