NATURE STUDY ..........

OK, well, this was going to be a post done on the new Blogger ! I went into the new Blogger & realised that you click on the red circle with a cross for a new post ..... all good so far. The page loaded and all there was was the first line. .... TITLE .......... publish etc. Nothing to click on to make a post. I've googled it but ..... nothing ! There was a tutorial on YouTube so I know what I should be seeing ! Anyone out there know why I've got nothing ? Would be very grateful for advice. I just knew this would happen to me !!! Maybe my time in Blogland is up !!!

ANYWAY .....

Look what was having lunch in our garden .....

..... a beautiful, golden beetle gobbling up our flowers !

After seeing the above, I was going to rush out and collect hundreds and make my fortune but I think mine is a different species !

Nevermind, we will have to make our fortune some other way !
Isn't he pretty ?

  1. It may not look like there is anything to click on to make the post but it is there. Type in a title and then do a left click without worrying about where the cursor is, or appears not to be. and then start typing, You should find that the first letter/word will appear in the "post" box and then just carry on. It should be ok. I just looked before doing this comment.

As I have said on other blogs, although I have opted for the new blogger for quite some time mine randomly jumps from new back to old (Legacy) of its own free will. I think Blogger are still ironing out problems. Some days all my photos are there and some days they aren't. Keep with it.

That beetle looks like it might be a pest. xx

    1. Thanks so much Rachel for your help .... I’ll have another go tomorrow ! I think there is supposed to be a line of gadgets to click on like font, photos etc like the old blogger. Should they come up when I start typing ?
I won’t believe that the beetle is a pest as it was SO pretty, glinting in the sun ! XXXX

    2. At the far end of the title box click on the <> for HTML and the font, photos etc will appear. I hope that helps.

On the farm mum and I were describing a pretty insect we had seen and never seen before and it turned out to be some crop devouring monster that had come over from the Continent and was supposed to be reported to DEFRA. It sort of stuck in my memory!

    3. Oh crikey , that must have been worrying. He could well be a pest ... I’ve never seen one before.
Thanks for all the Blogger help Rachel ... I knew I could rely on you.I am usually quite good with technology .... is your page blank when the new post page loads ? XXXX

    4. I think I would just go with your gut feeling that it is a pretty beetle.

My page looks blank and I cant see the edges of the posting area but the font etc stuff is there but when I clicked on <> it disappeared and then came back when I clicked on it again so thought this might help you. I am really only stabbing around in the dark as I haven't had any problems

    5. I just tried it on my phone and it works OK so it must be something to do with my computer but I don’t know what ! XXXX

    6. It will be worth clicking on that <> on the title line and miraculously your font, photos line might suddenly appear on your computer.

    7. Just below the title should be a line of basic gadgets. Click on the three little dots on the right and a second line of gadgets open up below it. This will include adding photo's. To get rid of that line click on three little dots again and it will disappear.

    8. Hi Meanqueen and thanks for your help. The page wasn’t showing any gadgets at all ! But, it only happens with Google. I have found it works with Firefox so I think I’ve sorted it now. This happens to me with quite a few sites on Google. I shall probably be asking for more help in the coming weeks 🤣😂🤣 XXXX

  2. I wonder if that is a Green Dock Beetle?
As Rachel suggests, I usually just click below the Blogger post title and start typing and it seems to work OK.
    Good luck xx

  3. It was quite green as well as gold. I’ve never seen one before. It was lovely. I thought my problem was that there wasn’t a line of things to click on like photographs, font, etc. Will try again ! XXXX

  4. We occasionally see Scarabs here, but they are not common. It's easy to see why the ancient Egyptians held them in such high regard.

  8. Beautiful bug - you can make money with elderberry-flowers too, Jackie -though less :-) if you make the syrup for mixing with Champagne...
As to the new blogger: not so much change, I think - and interesting statistics. xxxx

    1. Hi Britta,
I have never seen that beetle before ..... it looked so lovely in the sunshine.
As for Blogger, I have found that it’s Google not showing everything for me but Firefox works well so I shall give the new blogger a try soon. Have a lovely week Britta. XXXX

  9. Blogger is continuing to fool with us Jackie - every day they change something on New Blogger so they haven't organized the final cut I guess!
Meanwhile, we all seem to be muddling through somehow. On mine the old way of uploading photos is back - thankfully - but will it remain? Who knows.

Beautiful beetle photos - as for making fortunes, never did and never will now! Just want to survive and stay healthy.
    Hang in there dear.

    1. I will Mary ..... On the new blogger I was just getting an empty screen and I have found that it’s when I do it via Google ! If I use a different search engine it’s fine ! I get that a lot with Google for some reason. I’m sure it will all come out in the wash Mary. XXXX

  10. Its a pleasure for me to write this testimony about how i got my Genital Herpes simplex been reading so many comments of some people who were cured from various diseases by Dr ubarlo but i never believed them. I was hurt and depressed so I was too curious and wanted to try Dr ubarlo, then i contacted him through his email when i contact him, he assured me 100% that he will heal me, i pleaded with him to help me out. My treatment was a great success, he healed me just as he promised. he sent me his medication and ask me to go for check up after one weeks of taking the medication. i agreed with him i took this medication and went for check up a , to my greatest surprise my result was negative after the treatment, i am really happy that i am cured and healthy again. I have waited for 3weeks to be very sure i was completely healed before writing this testimony. I did another blood test one week ago and it was still Herpes negative. so i guess its time i recommend anyone going through Herpes HSV-1 or HSV-2, HIV, HPV, Hepatitis B, Diabetes, Cancer reach him through Email drubarlohome@gmail.com OR add on whatsapp +2348119508814
