Hot damn! Big fan of him in the UK version of Being Human - that last scene, I was sobbing (and I rarely cry). Cannot wait until this comes to the US~ I tried watching the original as my bff loved it (she's from one your lot - originally from Surrey) - but I couldn't get past that insipid female.
Having been a fan of the original series, I can't really be bothered to reacquaint myself with a new set of characters. I have a feeling that the new version has been cast for 'drooling ladies'. Maybe I should watch an episode to see for myself.
Well Cro …… Ross Poldark alias Aidan Turner is very easy on the eye but, I am enjoying the rest of the production { and I am old enough to remember the first version too } Beautiful views of Cornwall and pretty good acting, I think. XXXX
I remember the original and dipped in & out of it Soooo glad Mr France persuaded me to give this one a try. Look what I'd have missed. ahh !!! Scared face or not II think he's making a lot of old women happy. .
I read the books as a young teen, lying on my chaise longue under a feather quilt and no thoughts of tomorrow. Perhaps the tv version would bring back those happy days.
Can't agree more! I've been in a state of high excitement for weeks now! I loved the original series of Poldark and am loving this one too. I'm not comparing them because that's not fair but I do feel that the new series as well having the lovely Aiden Turner bringing Ross to life again has the essence of Winston Graham's fabulous books. I have read and re read all the books. I once ave them all to a charity shop and the next day bought them all back again, I couldn't bear to part with them! So, yes loving Poldark Sunday nights. Happy Easter xxx
It is pointless to compare them as the old Poldark looks a bit dated now but was so good at the time. I think that all of the characters are played well in this remake …… a nice hour of escapism on a Sunday night. Happy Easter back !! XXXX
You make me laugh! We don't get all this great stuff that you do, but I am always having the British dramas sent to me on Netlix. Thank goodness for this movie service or I don't know how I would get by :)))) much love to you my dear!!!
Please provide us poor souls with no television regular updates on the shenanigans of the handsome Aidan Turner. Indeed, we have had no television since the original series so we can make no comparisons. So, be as creative as you like, spare us no intimate detail, forget the windswept landscape, just close in on the daring and dashing Mr Turner......not the painter!
Hello Jackie I read the Poldark series of books a long time ago and I would love to see this series. I will find it. Aidan Turner is so handsome and it looks like we all agree on that. Helen xx
I've seen the promos on television about this show, I'll have to watch it since its Jackie recommended. Haha. I hope all is well with you and your family. 5 more weeks until my granddaughter is born - so excited!!! Lots of love to you! xxoo
