ReplyDeleteThank you jackie !! It is so nice to know that I have support from all of you. I am so scared of loosing my blog to a totally stranger, and also scared of loosing my readers too. I am very bad when it comes to technical matters, so i feel even more unsure now. Luckily I have a "computergeek "in the house, so hopefully we can resolve this together very soon :)

Hello Jacqueline
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post and I particularly love the curtain with the lace. Have a glorious weekend at the Cotswolds.

Hooray for prettiness and lacy, girly things! Thank you so much, Jackie, for your helpful advice about inns in Granchester! We ended up deciding to spend the whole week in London after NO luck finding anything in Cambridge on Trip Advisor, and then acquaintances we have in Cambridge said they can never find good accommodations for folks in Cambridge itself. So we're taking the train up to Cambridge from London for a couple of day trips. I think I'll need to visit Orchard House in Granchester. I've often taught Rupert Brooke over the years in poetry classes when we've studied WW I poets. He wasn't as brilliant a poet as Wilfred Owen, but he was certainly a hottie! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous time in the Cotswolds! xoxo Gigi
That's what you should do precis Jackie, enjoy the important things in your life, your children, grandchildren, friends, etc. Blogging can be waiting untill you have time, hihi.

Hi Jackie
ReplyDeleteA week ago you asked me about places to go to in Amsterdam. Sorry it took me so long to reply! My favourite occupation when in Amsterdam is to just walk along the canals and soak in the atmosphere.
The two museums you mentioned and which I did a post on are beautiful! One of my favourites is FOAM on the Keizersgracht (photography) and the Van Gogh museum. When you want to visit the Van Gogh musuem you have to be early, because it can be terribly busy!
I love to walk the 'negen straatjes' in 'de Jordaan'. This is an old part of Amsterdam with lots of quirky shops. You can find the most lovely things there (lots of vintage). I think you will like it! The Spiegelstraat is full of antique shops and very much worthwhile too.
Amsterdam has an Art Deco cinema (Tuschinski) which is beautiful too as is Artis, the Zoo!
Hope you will have a great time Jackie! Enjoy!
Lieve groet & happy weekend,
Madelief x
