Welcome everyone to a little glimpse of Christmas at ' HOME '
Come on in and make yourselves at ' HOME ' !!
Come on in and make yourselves at ' HOME ' !!
This is the hall. Every year I always decorate the stairs with eucalyptus, a few baubles and, this year, a little bit of gypsophila ...............
Here's a bit of a closer look .........
.......... this is the hall table ..........
............... and now, come on into the lounge..........
This is my favourite fireplace. All of the fireplaces in our house are Art Nouveau and they are all original too.........
I must try and hide that wire. Not very attractive. These chandelier cystals have lights in them but I'm not sure if I like them lit up. I rather like them as they are. What do you think ?
This is our breakfast room. This room is next to the kitchen and breakfast room was a term used by the Victorians.
Just lovely! Merriest of holidays to you too!
ReplyDeleteDear Jacqueline
ReplyDeleteYour house looks amazing.. just perfect for celebrating the White Christmas you are having!! Love the eucalyptus, it's a favourite of mine... looks divine as it is and smells wonderful too... But the thing I absolutely adore is your fireplace and 'overmantle' ...both are just incredible!
Well you have created a Christmas Haven! You can now sit back and enjoy! [unless of course you have to create some huge Christmas dinner.. then in that case... get to work!!!]
I'm so glad I have been able to get to you know you over these past 6 months... It's been a pleasure to have you as my blogging [and email] buddy!! xxxx Julie
What a wonderful display of good taste. Thank you for having us in. Happy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteBeatiful images.I like to use also the eucliptus mixed with dry flowers in my home decoration ... and it leaves a smell that reminds my home at chritmas when I was a little girl.
ReplyDeleteHappy days of Christmas to you,
DMV

My fabulous British friend your home is spectacular (as I knew it would be)as you. Your fireplace is gorgeous, and here we tend to think of old as the 70's or 80's. Not lit enough or not, your tree is beautiful and charming. I wish you, Mr. Home and the Home Jr.'s a blessed Christmas and memories to last your lifetime. I will be thinking about you in your winter wonderland. xoxo deb
ReplyDeleteYour staircase just makes you want to walk all the way up and discover all of the other delights. You must have a ball decorating all of that Jackie. I know I would.

ReplyDeleteAt last, Jacqueline, a glimpse of your house and it's an absolute wow. You must feel as though you're constantly filming Gosford Park. Bring on more pictures. You'll want to take them before I move in as I'll be wandering aimlessly round getting in the way of your camera and annoyingly reading everyone's blog posts aloud to you while you mull some more wine for us. A very happy Christmas to you, and thanks for keeping company.
ReplyDeleteDear Jackie,

I am drooling over your house, let alone the decorations. Love the candles draped over the tree branches!
ReplyDeleteWe still are having an English Christmas. The kids have made their presentation for our guests. The goose was voted down though so we are having a standing rib roast, yorkshire pudding, brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes. I did find my Christmas spirit and it was hiding in an apple!
