POSITIVE ..........

We both tested positive a couple of weeks ago and are still testing positive. I have heard of so many people getting it ..... they think the booster is wearing off !
On a different positive note, I have got quite a lot done  ..... one of the big drawers in the dresser is full of packets of photographs that have never been sorted or put into albums so, I have really had a cull. Do you remember when you had your photographs developed at the chemist ? WELL, they went through a phase of giving you doubles and even triples so I've got rid of all the duplicates, people I have no idea who they are and views that don't represent the view at the time ! I have bought two albums that hold one thousand photographs each so, my next project is to fill them both. I also need to get the photographs on my phone printed and put into the albums.
I have also emptied the airing cupboard and the other big cupboard in the kitchen as that is the wall that is the be knocked through so, new places have been found for the contents of those cupboards.
I'm on a Covid Isolation Roll { even though we don't need to isolate anymore ! }
Sorry, that was pretty boring but Covid Isolation IS pretty boring !
We have also had SKY Glass installed so we are down with the kids on the streaming front. It takes a bit of getting used to but, as it's the way forward, we are happy with it. It's not much different to SKY Q except you don't record anything anymore as its all there whenever you want it. The only down side that I can see at the moment is that, if you miss anything on some of the terrestrial channels, you may have to wait a day or two for it to be available.They have had a few teething troubles but I think that was in the early days as we don't seem to have had any problems. The reason we had it was because they wouldn't let us have SKY Q as they won't go up and fix the dish because of health and safety { even though they put the dish up there in the first place !!! }

So, that is what isolation looks like for me !!!

  3. So sorry you have both been isolated and hoping so much you don't have any of those nasty long term effects some people have. With all that's going on now in Ukraine, all so horrific and heartbreaking, over here any mention of another COVID booster seems to have disappeared from our news updates - wondering if there will even be one!
    By sound of it, you've done much better than me in the decluttering effort Jackie - congrats!!!!
    Take care and hopefully you and hubby will be fine soon.
    Hugs - Mary

  4. I took a test recently, because I was feeling rough; it was negative. I'm still feeling a bit rough a few days later, so I think I will do another one. I hope you're both feeling OK. Cro x

    1. Probably worth taking another test Cro ….. I was a bit cross that I’d caught it but I reckon we will all get it at some point. It’s the luck of the draw and seems quite random. We are both feeling IK thanks Cro …… just feel like we have a cold. XXXX

  5. You've accomplished a lot of work despite Covid. I agree, we are a bit on our own now with updating vaccine shots and even treatment when symptoms are mild or long term. A friend has bought Ivermectin-3 online and is using it to reduce symptoms and accelerate recovery. She says it's working. Also, it is good to hear your renovation is moving along nicely. Get well soon.

  7. I am looking forward to the day when we can just include it as another cold. As I have no test kits and have never seen one, and live alone, I suspect that if I get a Covid cold nobody will ever know, nor me!

  8. Wow! The timing could not have been more perfect for you to get Covid! No distractions from doing your Great Cleanup ahead of the renovations :) You're impressing me from where I'm sat! You were really fortunate it's not been a tough experience for you both. We finally, finally! had our boosters on Saturday. Last to the party, as ever. xx

  9. I did the picture overhaul a few years ago and then again last year. My mother had totes full of photos! Honestly, how many copies of one photo does one need? And copies of bad photos! ugh. I'm now down to one vintage suitcase full. I'm sure my mother was waving her finger from heaven. Sorry Mom.

    1. You’ve done well Susan …. I do still find it hard to throw things away so, I have surprised myself at the amount I have thrown away. At one point we had three cats and there were hundreds and hundreds of photos of them ……. We really only need a few of each to remember them by. …. And some we had three copies !!!!! I have started to put them in the albums which is a lovely feeling. I’m sure your mum would be pleased with what you have done. XXXX

  12. Dear Jackie,
    what a dread! Back from Berlin I read your post - hope you are better now. But I was very interested to learn how much Covid affected you - because I hear now from so many people, boostered, getting it - but if you ask them, it is (luckily) only like a normal cold - and for that, I think, they do not need to shut the whole world down or in. So: I am glad to hear that you are doing so là là well.

    Photos: an endless story. I found out that my real surrounding is (except the closet, haha) largely organised - but the junk, the overwhelming flood of "virtual things" - mostly photos - make me feel very stressed -- and it is not helpful that I have a MacBook AND a computer with both (but different, not the same) 16.000 photos - where to start??
    I started to create folders, but.. Had to take the photos on a back.up ... they are out of sight, but not out of my mind - I will have to find a way...
    I wish you the very best for your health - get healthy soon! XXXX Britta

  13. Oh Britta ….. I have the same problem with my MacBook and my iPhone …. Thousands of photographs that need sorting ! Maybe I shall tackle them after I have sorted the ones in the drawer !!!!!
    As for Covid, we didn’t suffer very much. I was shivery for a day and had a few aches then it was just like a cold. My husband didn’t even have that ….. he just had a bit of a cough. Thank goodness for the vaccine. ! Thank you so much for your good wishes Britta…. We feel fine and have had negative test results do we are all clear now. Look after yourself. XXXX
