HOME ..........

The title of my blog is rather apt at the moment as we are all stuck in our homes. Here are a few images from around my home ..........

I'm going to make the above tonight for our dinner ..... salmon fillet, potatoes, capers and I'm adding broccoli and cauliflower ..... and some sort of dressing. It's called Salmon Hash !!!

    1. It was so easy Pip, I cooked the salmon in the oven and five minutes before it was ready, I fried some potatoes ( that I’d cooked earlier ) in garlic, butter and a little oil until crispy then added the parboiled veg. Then added the cooked salmon.
I love soup and we will probably all be making more from things in the fridge. I cooked a small piece of gammon a couple of days ago so I might make some pea and ham soup myself today .... thanks for the tip !!! XXXX

    1. Hi Mary, I have a lot of salmon and sea bass in the freezer so we might be fed up with it in a few weeks !!! I actually don’t care what I eat as long as we have some food. I’m trying to use the fresh stuff before I start on the tins !

It was very quick and simple and really delicious. We do love meals like that. I think we are all going to be very inventive in the coming weeks with our cooking. I’m using all of the fresh stuff up before I resort to the tins ! Hope you are coping OK .... at our age, it just seems such a waste of our time but it has to be. Sending love from the U.K. XXXX

  10. Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment with me the other day. We're praying & know there are some things we just cannot change, only the doctors and our Lord can work miracles. Houston is deserted, no cars, no shops, no restaurants. It's kinda scary. Everyone is obeying our President's suggestions, but I wonder if it's really all this serious? Even our grocery stores have red strips on the floor showing 6 feet apart. WOW !!! Are we over-reacting? Tell me what you think, please. And, SALMON HASH, sounds wonderful. xx's

    1. Hi Marsha, as far as I can see, we are not over reacting. It is a rampant virus and all ages are dying from it. If we all do as we are told, hopefully we can get back to normality sooner rather than later. It is scary. We haven’t been out for over a fortnight ! .. and it’s the same here .... no one about, streets deserted, every where shut apart from supermarkets and pharmacies. Try not to worry Marsha ..... we must just all stay home and hope that it ends as soon as possible. The salmon was yummy ! XXXX
