SNOWFLAKES ARE DANCING ..... ISAO TOMITA .....

Snowflakes are dancing here in Hertfordshire.

Award winning Isao Tomita performing one of Claude Debussy's finest melodies, Clair De Lune ..... from his 1974 masterpiece album, ' Snowflakes Are Dancing '.
Turn the volume right up and stick with it 'till the end ..... I've been listening to this since 1974 !! ........ it is such a haunting interpretation of this well known piece.

  1. Hello Jackie:
We are now absolutely chilled to the bone having listened to this most magical and icy interpretations of Debussy's iconic piece.

Snowflakes are certainly dancing here too in Budapest and, such has been their volume, that everything practically has shut down from the blanket of white that has descended all around!!!

Hoping that you are warm and cosy indoors whilst watching the snow dance!!!

  3. Jackie,
I too have been listening to this since the album came out. You are my Tomita soul mate. I also posted this last year on my post for Debussy's birthday. It is magical, takes me right back to my youth and those heady days when anything was possible. I used to listen to this whilst dreaming of my future. Thanks so much for the reminder. I absolutely love this version. Well done!

  4. Lovely, my dear Jackie! A piece of music - new for me! Intresting how composers are INSPIREd by nature!

I'm listening and listening....on a dullgray Périgordian Monday, and it lifts me up in its lightness, light like snowflakes!
    Thank you!

  6. 1734 members?! That's more than the Hattatts! Anyway... ah, Clare de Lune... I have to say that this does remind me a bit of 'Sandy on the Organ' on acid, though. Sorry.

  13. Hello Dear Jackie,
I haven't heard Clair De Lune in a long time. I use to love it in the 6o's.
We had days in the 50's and now cold air and snow again. Tomorrow it's
going to be zero at the coast. What is going on?
Well, Renee just left driving in sleet and snow, I worry everytime she goes out. Do you watch Downton Abby on Sundays? It comes on at 9 Pm that is too late for me. Take care and stay warm. Hugs Renee and yvonne

  21. I love Clair de Lune Jackie, and I LOVE this version of one of my favorite melodies.
I loved your comment and how you love all the months of the year. That is how we ALL should feel about them! None of this wishing our days away waiting for a sunny day or a cooler day, etc.
I don't have to worry about you making the most of your days because I know how you fell about life : )
    much love from here...
