Have any of you seen the film HUGO ? It was made in 2011 so it's not new, won Academy Awards and Baftas and I'm obviously late to the party but I loved it ..... an historical adventure drama film directed and produced by Martin Scorsese. I won't go into a long review but it involves Georges Mélies' A Trip To The Moon and a boy who lives and winds the clocks at Paris train station.
It is a charming film and the music is great as well.

ReplyDeleteI think you might like it Rachel ..... it’s just a charming little film and easy to watch ..., I don’t suppose anyone has watched the clip but the music is good .... very Edith Piaf and haunting. Sometimes I just want to watch something that doesn’t require a great deal of thought. ! That probably says a lot about me 🤣 XXXX

DeleteDon’t worry about not commenting sometimes ...... I sometimes do the same thing and then think that I’ve commented ( old age !!!) I was just annoyed that people coukdn’t comment if they wanted to.
I hope people won’t be disappointed if and when they watch Hugo ....... it is simple and charming and I loved it ( but maybe I’m simple 🤣 ) I love a bit of escapism and a film that isn’t too deep or violent. XXXX
