Have been staying with my sister .....
..... while our husbands gallivanted around France in the Morgan !!
They did bring home some globe artichokes ..... yum ..... and, while they were away, stuffing themselves with all things deliciously French, we stuffed ourselves with lobster tails, brown shrimps and asparagus !!!! Anything they can do, we can do better !!!!
Am now stuck to the sofa watching Wimbledon ..... strawberries and cream anyone ?!!

My brother-in-law has always had a vintage car Jane ..... they both go on their little trip most years while my sister and I eat and drink ourselves silly !!!! XXXX

When I was in my twenties, I had a friend who owned a Morgan, and very proud of it he was. He was forever tinkering with it to soup up the performance. "Anything they can do, we can do better" Quite right too!
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law has always loved vintage cars ..... he did have a red Morgan but the blue one is new..... he doesn't have to tinker with it as it is pretty feisty . He did take me out in it when they got back and it's very fast.

ReplyDeleteBob's just been away for several days to New Hampshire with his older brother - it's become an annual trip - they go to their boyhood town to celebrate Independence Day on the 4th, and Bob's birthday on the 5th, with baseball and beers! I've been close to home following a major surgery a few weeks ago. . . . but I'll be traveling again soon. Can't keep we old gals down, haha!!!!

Hi Jackie, thanks for leaving a lovely message, cheered me up as soon as I read it. Talking about you and your sis eating yourselves silly...why ever not? I'm doing the same as I lost a load of weight whilst I was having the operation. Even managing supper and snacks mid afternoon, it's great! I too love asparagus alas it doesn't love me tho, sheesh...goes brilliantly with lobster tails yummy!
