I was looking out at the garden from the conservatory around mid-morning yesterday and who should I see but Mr. Fox !!
He had a little sit down on the lawn for quite a while, stared at me as if I was the intruder …..
….. had a roam around, sniffing everything as he went …..
….. and then, returned to his spot in the sun, put his head down and went to sleep !!!!
I know that the fox isn't every ones favourite garden visitor { especially if you keep chickens like John } but, I do still get a bit of a thrill when they come and visit our garden …… goodness knows what I'd be like if I went on safari !!!!!!
I can remember following the Hunt on Boxing Day as a child ……. now that subject opens up a can of worms. I can see both sides of the argument myself.

That is so cool! I love when wildlife wanders into our yard. We used to have 2 fawns that would come every morning to eat the clover a few years ago. Loved seeing them!

I never believed,so he spoke with me,and told me everything that i need to do. Then the next morning, So surprisingly, my wife who did not call me for the past seven {7}months,gave me a call to inform me that she was coming back So Amazing!! So that was how she came back that same day,with lots of love and joy,and she apologized for her mistake,and for the pain she caused me and my children. Then from that day,our relationship was now stronger than how it were before,by the help of a spell caster . So, i will advice you out there to kindly email this wonderful man {bravespellcaster@gmail.com},i f you are in any condition like this,or you have any problem related to "bringing your ex back. ReplyDeletethese photos you took are great! He must have felt very sure of himself and safe in your garden. (I believe that animals can enjoy beauty and have a feeling for aesthetics - saw many examples that were not to be explained by "need for food") - and your garden is beautiful.
Oh my that would scare me. He looks like a healthy fox too. We have a snake in our rose garden right now and even though it is the good kind of snake, it scares me! We get coyotes in the field behind our garden gate but they never have come in. Last summer we watched a family with three pups walk through the field at a good distance. It was a beautiful site.

They are beautiful animals. But I'd love to have chickens, ducks or geese, and dare not as we have foxes here too. They're also out in broad daylight.

ReplyDeleteFunny we had chickens on the farm, I never saw a fox. Here on the coast he visits now and then.
The wedding was beautiful. New York is a culture shock. Oh, Renee didn't want to go after I bought the tickets, so I somehow got a Delta Lady who changed the Name to my friend, she is younger than Renee and I am lucky she went as I fell at the airport. At 78 this is my last wedding.
Renee has met a Guy, he has a sail boat. Divorced twice. It may get serious. The way she acts

A cute little visitor is he and laying down for a nap ~ imagine. Anyone with pets may be nervous of this ~ it he tame at all Jackie? Maybe he has been around a lot of people in the past and that is why he feels so comfortable just hanging out in the yard.

ReplyDeleteI've only hunted once. I 'followed' the Old Surrey and Burstow when I was quite young (riding beside Jimmy Edwards). It obviously didn't appeal, as I never rode out again. Now I'd rather watch the foxes... as long as they don't come too close to the chicken run.
The fox knows a relaxing environment when he sees one. I wouldn't mind stretching out in your garden either! I hope life is treating you well, dear Jackie...3 more weeks and I am heading your way! xxoo

ReplyDeleteOh! Yes. Yes so would enjoy a visit from Mr. fox in our yard, we get wild bunnies, quail and there babies and coyotes, from time to time and I adore the visits. Yours is so sweet pictured here, and I am sure even a bit of a fright at the same time, nature has a way with completing us :)

December of 2012 we had a just born baby lamb delivered in the field in front of the farmhouse before we could get her to the barn. When the Sheepfarmer came in for lunch he pointed out the blessed event and said "We must move them both into the barn after lunch" within a few moments I looked up from my soup and out the kitchen window to see a fox carrying off the newborn and the mama frantically bellowing and trying to find her baby. We immediately ran out but found nothing. The memory is etched in mind, forever. I don't like foxes that steal baby lambs and unfortunately it is not a rare event :-(

Just read your comment. Such a coincidence! What a beautiful house your friend lives is. It's the sort of house I dream off :-) The whole village of Ebrington is picturesque, with the old houses, rambling roses and the pub. We planned to have lunch there, but ended up having tea and a sandwhich at Hidcote.
The girls and I will spend a week near Tunbridge Wells soon. You don't have friends who's house I can photograph living there, do you :-)?
