IN THE PINK ...............

FOUR THINGS
Four things
where I would
rather not
find a lump :
custard
gravy
mashed potato
and bosoms.
Breast cancer has probably touched all of our lives in some way or another, unfortunately. I know that many of you have done posts on this subject but , as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month here in the U.K. , this is my contribution in pictures ..........

  8. I believe in Pink as well. And I think it because my childhood home was pink! Everyone laughed at my mother but with its terracotta tiled roof, and big windows and pale blush pink exterior it was really quite magical. I asked for a mammogram and was told NO I am too young! Silly isn't it.

  9. Lovely post Jacqueline for a great cause

A good reminder for all women to be aware and have regular examinations. Also a lovely bit of pinkness to brighten our day and weekend. Ms Hepburn's quote is delightful as is all of your gorgeous images.

Have a great weekend. xx Julie

Absolutely beautiful Jackie.....really stunning images....the best "pinks" I have seen....and it's always so good to remind people of Breast Cancer Awareness....all the magazines are doing something for it this month it seems.....hopefully the great support it gets means we are one step nearer every day to finding a cure.

And yes.....Venice always make me think of you now....not my husband.....YOU.....cos I know you love it.....I won't tell him that though!!

Love that image of London....fab isn't it....I had some great years working in the City, it was my first real job....those were the days!!!

    Have a great week-end :) xoxo

  15. Another lovely post and a beautiful tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer runs in out family. I have learned alot about it when my Aunt I was very close to died from it. I am more afraid of this type of cancer as it is more aggressive and the only one that can mastisize in other parts of your body. She beat cancer once and it came back in her brain. The one part of her body that she prized most.

  30. Jackie,
SO wonderful of you to bring up this subject and do it in a way that still lets us smile. It is a manageable disease if caught early and we should not be afraid to get examined.
Hey I just remembered you don't even like pink!
More reason to say thank you!
    xxxooo,

I have no cases of breast cancer on my family, but i do know it too well!, terribly well! since ever! all my father's sisters and brothers have been dying of cancer, several kinds of it and i have a chronic disease that has a high probability of turning into one!
